WWF’s 2015 plan

Our Solution: Focusing on Flow, Setting National Freshwater Conservation Precedents

Working at the forefront of global freshwater conservation, WWF will draw on our international expertise and our effective advocacy to engage Canadian citizens, governments, and businesses in a critical conversation about the health of our waters. We’ll work with fresh water stakeholders to set conservation precedents in Canada’s most important and iconic rivers in order to drive the changes in national water policy required to secure water for nature and water for people from coast to coast to coast.

  • Develop and demonstrate leadership in freshwater conservation science and practice
  • Engage in water governance discussions to influence leading-edge water policy planning and management decisions
  • Encourage public debate and thought leadership to raise awareness of freshwater issues and support for healthy waters
