A River Runs Through It
In March 2011, WWF and the Museum of Sherbrooke launched a new travelling museum exhibition called "A River Runs Through it." It has begun its 5-year tour through small and mid-size museums and science centres across Canada. It will lead visitors on a fun, informative and interactive journey of discovery about river ecosystems and water management issues.Register with Schools for a Living Planet presented by Canon Canada to be notified when this exhibit comes to a city near you!
WWF-Canada Green CommUnity School Grants
Applications for the spring program are now being accepted. Learn More!The deadline for applications is Monday, April 2, 2012 at 3:00 pm EST. Winners will be announced in May 2012.
Through the generous support of Loblaw Companies Limited, WWF will grant $600,000 over three years, up to $200,000 a year, to Canadian elementary and secondary schools. The grant program aims to support school projects that will connect students with nature, help reduce a community’s impact on the environment, increase understanding of environmental issues and solutions, stimulate environmental leadership, and inspire students and communities to take action. Your school could receive up to $5,000 to make your green idea grow. Sign up for Schools for a Living Planet to receive updates.

Green CommUnity School Grants
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
Join WWF & Vancouver Aquarium's annual event to remove shoreline litter from ponds, streams, rivers, lakes and oceans. Sign up your class for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup presented by Loblaw Companies Limited. This event happens every September, but in 2012 will also be available to schools in Ontario & BC. Check out the classroom materials and activities which help to enhance this wonderful opportunity for hands-on learning.
